The Problem

Personal services need stable external access without directly exposing the home network, while internal automation tools should remain private.

The Solution

A remote Ubuntu server acts as the public gateway and WireGuard hub. The home Ubuntu PC connects as a spoke, hosts media/photo/automation services, and receives only the traffic intentionally forwarded through the tunnel.
